Elmira Man Charged With 3rd Degree Burglary

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 17, 2022, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Robert K. Allison, III, age 21, of Allen Street, Elmira, following an investigation of a reported theft in the Town of Erwin. It is alleged that Mr. Allison intentionally and unlawfully entered or remained in a building with the intent to damage and steal property. Mr. Allison was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E Felony and Petit Larceny. Mr. Allison was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.


Early Voting Ends Soon 

Early voting in Steuben County lasts until this Sunday at 5pm, and that’s for the August 23rd primary and August 23rd special election.  

 

Health Insurance Costs Going Up?

The Albany Times Union reports that health insurance for many New York State residents is going to be going up about nine percent, in January.
