August 18th 2021 - The First Anniversary

It’s the one year anniversary of the August 18th flooding in Woodhull, Jasper, Addison and Canisteo.  Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose says, many roads are being repaired a year later.  Rose also says, FEMA will pay for 90 percent of the road work, and the state, will pay for the remaining 10 percent.  

 

August 23rd Special/Primary - The Early Voting Numbers

How many people have come out so far for early voting, for the special election and the GOP primary in Steuben County?  477 have voted for the special election in Steuben County, and 186 have voted in the GOP Primary.  There are over 60,000 active voters in Steuben County.

 

More people in Allegany county taken part in early voting than in the June Primary, in Allegany County, 127 voters have voted so far in the GOP Primary in Allegany County, 235 Allegany County residents have voted in the special election there.  There are 26,088 active voters in Allegany County.   

 

In Chemung County, 234 voters came out so far, 159 for the special election and 73 for the GOP primary.

 

School Supplies For Bath Central Students 

On Monday, August 22nd from 9-11 a.m. Bath CSD will host a drive up school supply give-a-way at the VEW Bus Loop. Supplies to include backpacks, pencils, markers, utensil case, erasers, glue sticks, scissors, and earbuds. Participants should line up facing Maple Heights. The giveaway is open to all students.   PreK-12.  

 

Pistol Permit Reminder 

Bath Village Police say, that the new pistol permit application requirements take affect September 1st. Turn your application in by August 31st or be prepared for a long wait.
