Statement From Bath Police Chief Colin Taft, About The Release Of James Ward

“The Village of Bath would like to make the community aware that a level 3 sex offender named James Ward, born in 1956, is out of prison after a 30 year sentence for Murder, Attempted Rape 1st and Sexual Abuse 1st.  Mr. Ward is residing at the Budget Inn, Bath located at 332 W. Morris St.  A photograph will be released in the near future, but he is described as 5’5’’, 197 pounds, white male.”

The state budget deadline is April 1st, Assemblyman Phil Palmesano says, it won’t be done on time, because of a lack of agreement about bail reform, between the Governor, the Assembly and the State Senate Leaders.

Gillibrand: Getting Post Offices Back Into Banking

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is working to get support in the senate among Republicans, to legalize banking once again, in post offices. Gillibrand says it makes sense to have banking services in Post Offices, as post offices are everywhere, already do money orders, and are staffed enough to be able to provide more banking services to the public.  

Eileen Collins Book Signing This Weekend In Elmira

Former Astronaut and Elmira native, Eileen Collins will be at the Wings of Eagles Center in Elmira, for a book signing, on Saturday, from Noon till 1:30pm.

The Hammondsport Board of Education will be having a meeting on Wednesday, April 6 at 6pm, it will be a special budget meeting.
