Car Found In Savona, Turns Out To Be Stolen From Hornell

Hornell Police report that a car was found in the Village of Savona, was stolen from Hornell, that was on March 11.  Hornell Police report, that they’ve arrested Brian Hojnoski, 54, charging him with 3rd and 4th Degree Grand Larceny, for allegedly stealing that car.  Hojnoski is being held without bail in Steuben County Jail.

Bath Town Constable Charged 

Bath Village Police report that the Bath Town Constable, Daniel Chapman, 31, was charged yesterday, with 2nd degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, for allegedly possessing a forged government document.   Bath Police Chief Colin Taft says, it’s a forged county government document.   

Bath Woman Is Charged With Meth Possession

The Village of Bath Police Department reports the arrest of Ashley Beyea, 34, of Bath, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd ( Class B Felony). The arrest stems from a traffic stop on 03/25/2022 at the intersection of W. Morris and W. Washington Street in the Village of Bath. Beyea was found to be in possession of over 6 grams of Methamphetamine. Beyea was processed, taken to Centralized Arraignment Court and released without bail.

Man Wanted By Numerous Police Dept's, Arrested In Bath

The Village of Bath Police Department reports the arrest of Jackson Welfel, 22, of Elmira, on charges of Petit Larceny, Criminal Impersonation 2nd and Burglary 3rd. The arrest stems from a call on 03/25/2022 at Tractor Supply (404 W. Morris Street) in the Village of Bath. Tractor Supply reported there was a suspicious male inside the store trying to return items that were taken off the shelves after entering the store. The suspect was to be found using the name of his younger brother to avoid being arrested on 6 outstanding warrants from several different agencies. Welfel was processed, taken to Centralized Arraignment Court and released without bail. Welfel was then handed over to Horsehead’s State Police barracks in regards to charges the state police had on Welfel.
