Mobile Sports Betting Launches in NY Tomorrow
If you’re itching to participate in New York state’s recently-legal mobile sports betting, you may be able to bet using your smartphone as soon as tomorrow. Beginning 9am Saturday, four licensed operators can start accepting mobile bets in New York: Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel, and Rush Street Interactive. In a news release from the State Gaming Commission, five other “conditionally” licensed operators are still working to gain approval to launch betting. The launch of online gambling in New York comes just as the current NFL season winds down in its final weekend and looking ahead to the Superbowl. The move to mobile sports betting is seen by experts as potentially more lucrative than physical sports lounges.
