Bath’s Chat A Whyle Restaurant Reopening Tomorrow
The Chat A Whyle Restaurant is reopening in downtown Bath tomorrow! The restaurant's new owner is Dillion Towner and he shared some details WVIN's Community Focus. Though the building wasn't structurally changed, new paint and furniture were added to freshen the space up. The menu will be what Towner describes as a modern American one, and he says they are in the process of getting their license to serve alcoholic beverages as well. Towner says he is looking forward to serving the community that has long-awaited Chat A Whyle’s reopening. County Health Dept Resumes 3 Regular Summer Immunization Clinics 
Steuben County Health Department resumes regular immunization clinics for children and adults who are uninsured, underinsured or whose insurance does not cover vaccinations. COVID-19 vaccines will not be available at these clinics. Available vaccines for this clinic include: DTaP and Tdap, MMR, HPV and others. Clinics will be held at the Steuben County Public Health Office in Bath, located at 3 Pulteney Square in Bath. They will take place:
Tuesday, June 29 from 9:00 – 11:00
Wednesday, July 21 from 1:00 – 3:00
Tuesday, July 27 from 9:00 – 11:00
Appointments are required and can be made by calling 607-664-2438. A parent or guardian must accompany any children under 18. All clinic attendees must wear face coverings. Those currently under isolation or quarantine at the time of the clinic due to a positive COVID-19 test or COVID-19 exposure cannot attend the clinic.


Hornell Police Department Investigating 2 Drug Use Deaths
The Hornell Police Department is investigating two deaths in what is believed to be a drug related incident…that from WENY-TV. Officers responded to a home on Hill Street just after 4:00 a.m. Sunday. Their initial investigation revealed that the men had died “after being involved in drug use”. Both men were sent to Broome County for their autopsies.


Glenn Curtiss Museum Opens “Art of War…” Insignia Exhibit
A new exhibit called “The Art of War: Squadron Insignia from the Curtiss Collection” opened at the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport this weekend. The exhibit started as a way to chronicle 60 years-worth of military insignia and similar items. Staff of the museum say some items haven't seen daylight in decades. The “Art of War…” exhibit will continue to hang through the fall.


WalletHub Ranks NY 4th “Most Fun” State
According to WalletHub, 2021’s Most Fun States in America, New York State is the 4th “Most Fun” in the nation. The 50 states were compared across 26 key metrics including movie costs, accessibility of national parks, casinos per capita and more. New York boasted the highest restaurants, movie theatres, performing arts and fitness centers per capita. California, Florida, Nevada, New York and Illinois were named the top five most fun states in the US. The report named the least fun state West Virginia.


State’s COVID Positivity Rate Continues Decline
New York State’s COVID stats remain encouraging. The statewide positivity rate has declined to 0.35%. It remains the lowest in the nation. Hospitalizations have dropped below 700 and statewide vaccination rate has climbed to 69.7%. More than 20 million COVID vaccine doses have been administered in New York.


Today is World Blood Donor Day
Today is world blood donor day. The Day is recognized annually to thank blood donors around the world for their voluntary, unpaid contributions which ultimately save lives and contribute to better health. Addison Man Arrested After Woodhull Dispute
Court action is pending for an Addison man following a domestic dispute in the Town of Woodhull. State Troopers arrested 26-year-old David Gee. He was charged with felony second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment. 


State Troopers Chase Stolen Ambulance from Utica to Irondequoit
State troopers were led on a lengthy pursuit on the Thruway Sunday morning into the afternoon, after the reports of a stolen ambulance from a company based in Utica. The chase lasted about 100 miles, when police say they caught the vehicle on the Thruway and later on I-490 and into the city of Rochester. Police the ambulance eventually crashed into Irondequoit Bay. Members of the Monroe County Sheriff's scuba team helped locate the vehicle sunken below, not far from the docks. Police have not yet confirmed the driver’s identity or where she is from, but say she was taken into custody immediately.


Painted Post Woman Arrested After Penn Yan Crash
Yates deputies arrested 56-year-old Susan Brooks of Painted Post following a vehicle crash in Penn Yan. She was charged with felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of the crash and felony DWI.
