The Executive Order issued yesterday clearly says the state would not further extend the deadline for expired inspections, which Cuomo previously allowed to remain valid during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic months ago. The same deadline applies for expired driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations. About 10,000 inspection shops in the state could see a rush of customers in the next few weeks as a result of the order.

Reed and Mitrano are set to debate Tuesday, October 27th.
