Library funding propositions in Urbana and Pulteney passed.  Propositions in Hornell and Hornellsville also passed.  The Lindley proposition was defeated.



Fatal Fire in Horseheads:


One person was killed Tuesday afternoon in a fire that broke out on East Franklin Street in the Town of Horseheads.  Multiple departments responded to the scene.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  Further details are unavailable at this time.



NYSEG Outages this Morning:


Some Steuben County NYSEG customers are without power this morning.  The company reports there are over a hundred people in the area of the towns of Erwin and Corning without power.  Power is expected to be restored later this morning.



Addison Man Facing Drug Charges After I-390 Stop:


An Addison man is facing drug related charges following a traffic stop on I-390 by Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies.  According to police, 64-year-old Robert Desandro was stopped for a traffic violation and during the roadside interview, crack cocaine was observed in plain view.  Crack cocaine was also allegedly discovered on Desandro’s person.  He was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
