2 Facing Drug Charges after “Strange Odor” Complaint:


A Corning man arrested earlier this year for having an active meth lab is facing more drug charges after Corning Police were called to a West Williams Street apartment Wednesday on a compliant of a “strange odor.”  39-year-old Richard Eygabroat was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and was sent to the Steuben County Jail on $2,000.  Eygabroat was arrested in May at the same apartment for having an active meth lab.  Also arrested Wednesday was 43-year-old James Carson, also of Corning.  He was taken in on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on methamphetamine charges related to an arrest in September.  He was sent to the county jail without bail.  It’s expected he will also be charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine for Wednesday’s arrest. 



Binghamton Man Arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Trespassing:


The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Binghamton man on charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing following an incident in Painted Post.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Joshua Charbonneau harassed members of the public and refused a lawful order to leave the premises of a retail lodging facility on South Hamilton Street.  He was sent to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $200 cash bail.



Misuse of Food Stamps Arrest:


A Bath woman has been arrested for misuse of food stamps.  24-year-old Lily Taylor is accused of using a Steuben County Department of Social Services Benefit card, issued to another person, while that person was incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail.  As a result, she obtained benefits she was not entitled nor authorized to.  She was issued an appearance ticket.
