Woodstock 50 Lawsuit Update:
In an update to the ongoing saga of the Woodstock 50 event, there’s been no resolution yet in the recently filed lawsuit. Arguments and testimony began Monday in New York City with investors and organizers trading barbs and accusing the other of broken promises as they vie for control of the festival. Investor Dentsu has said the event is canceled due to health and safety concerns, citing organizers “misrepresentations, incompetence, and contractual breaches” in court documents. Organizers say it’s still happening and accuse Dentsu, and its investment arm Amplifi Live, of trying to sabotage the event and of stealing funds. There’s less than 100 days until the supposed date of the festival, which was set for the weekend of August 16th at Watkins Glen International. The hearing is set to continue today.
